Ich könnt jetzt wieder ewig darüber schreiben, wie schnell die Zeit vergeht, dass schon wieder sieben Tage vorüber sind und das schon wieder ein neuer Artikel mit wunderbaren Bewegtbildperlen ansteht. Wie gesagt, ich könnte… ;).
Um aber nicht das Wesentliche aus den Augen zu verlieren, präsentiere ich euch die heutigen zwei Fundstücke:
Das erste Video, das ich euch zeige, trägt den Titel Everybody Street und ist, wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, eine Dokumentation über Street Photography in New York. During the early decades of the twentieth century, Alfred Stieglitz vividly captured the architecture and urban streetscapes of New York City. The first photographer to take the camera off the tripod, out of the studio, and into the streets, Stieglitz can be thought of as the father of New York City street photography – a genre that produced some of the most exciting and provocative images of the past fifty years.
Im zweiten Video geht es um Island. Island…hatte ich erwähnt, dass ich gerne mal nach Island möchte? Ja hatte ich. Midnight Sun Iceland zeigt diese wunderbare Insel in einem ganz speziellen Licht und raubt einem erneut den Atem.
For 17 days I travelled solo around the entire island shooting almost 24 hours, sleeping in the car, and eating whenever I had the time. During my days shooting this film I shot 38,000 images, travelled some 2900 miles, and saw some of the most amazing, beautiful, and indescribable landscapes on the planet. Iceland is absolutely one of the most beautiful and unusual places you could ever imagine. Especially during the Midnight Sun when the quality of light hitting the landscape is very unusual, and very spectacular.
